The Swan Nebula, also known as Messier 17 (M17) or Omega Nebula, is a large star-forming region located in the constellation Sagittarius. It's about 5,500 to 6,000 light-years away from Earth. The nebula gets its name from its appearance, which some find similar to a swan or the Greek letter Omega. It's also sometimes referred to as the Horseshoe Nebula or the Lobster Nebula
