Bruce Munro's Field of Light at Uluru, often referred to as the Red Centre, is a massive, critically acclaimed, and award-winning immersive art installation located in Australia's Northern Territory. The installation features over 50,000 solar-powered, frosted-glass spheres on stems that bloom as darkness falls, covering an area of more than seven football fields. Directly behind the field lies Ayers rock, Australia’s most recognizable landmark and above it lie numerous southern sky gems. The Coalsack dark nebula adorned by the southern cross, the Running Chicken and Carina nebula, with Gum 15 and the Magellanic clouds all resolve nicely in the dark dry skies, taking one’s breath away….
