To visit the Zanskar Valley, one of the possible routes is from Leh to Kargil and then into the Suru Valley. The Suru river opens up into a wide valley providing the landscape photographer with many photo opportunities. The twin peaks of Nun and Kun tower over the valley and it was one of my bucket list shots to frame the milky way over these peaks. However, my last visit in 2018 resulted in cloudy nights on all the three nights I spent here obscuring the peaks. This time I got lucky with the peaks revealing themselves in all their glory. The image is a composite as the sky was shot later up the route to Zanskar at the Drang Drung glacier as that offered clearer skies.
